What I learned is with observing the coffee strip (with ink on it) getting dipped into the water the coffee strip obsorbed the water and as I observed it the colors then started to seperate just like when I used the purple marker it seperated into a pink and purple. I also learned what Chromatography means.

Dear Mrs. Tennant, my observations were that the colours either slowly moved up or down, however, what was left of the colour in it's original position is lighter than the original colour itself. Overall: Chromatography was an interesting and fascinating thing we did in Grade 6 Science and I can't wait to do more!
